Higher education is constantly developing, but the year 2020 has required everyone to take even bigger leaps in finding new solutions. The role of continuous learning in higher education is vital and furthering its status and making it accessible to everyone means that changes have to be made, and new solutions have to be created.
Hacking Higher Education Finland is a competition aiming to shine a light on new, innovative solutions and practices for higher education service development, targeting i.e. students, alumni, staff, administration, regional, national or international cooperation between corporations or society.
The final of Hacking Higher Education Finland 2020 showcases ten innovative solutions decided by the HHE Finland jury. You can get to know the finalist solutions here.
The ultimate winner is voted by the audience and gets the honor of calling themselves the “Higher Education Developer of the year 2020”.
Voting is already open, and you can cast your vote via this link. The voting system chooses randomly two finalist solutions, and you must choose the one you prefer. After this the system gives you two more finalists, and this continues until all ten finalists have been voted on.

The final is organized as a digital online event, that anyone can follow via Zoom. You must register to be a viewer beforehand, which can be done via this link.
All registered viewers will receive a Zoom joining link on the morning of the event on the 16th of September 2020. Be a part of the front lines of higher education and continuous learning and come hear about and be inspired by the new and innovative solutions of the finalists!
HHE Finland 2020 is organized in cooperation with Akava, Higher Education Innovation Partners -network and Dare to Learn. Acting as official enablers of the event are also ECIU University, University of Helsinki and University of Turku.
